Fantastic lighting and composition. And there is a warmth to it, which is quite unusual in this kind of shot.

Thank you very much. Maybe what you fell as warmth comes from the atmosphere of intimacy and calm I tried to create :)

I'm sure that's true. I can sense those qualities in the photograph. Your model obviously trusts you, and feels safe with you.

That's very true... She's my sister :) We get on very well together, and she's always loved posing for me.

Oh that's so  warming. I think that you and your sister bring out the best in each other. At least that's how it seems from your beautiful photographs. Thank you for sharing them.

I can NOT imagine trying to paint that!! !Wow, talk about difficult! The light and camera picks up all those subtle little hairs sprinkled all over the body which is beautiful, but trying to paint is??? no thanks! not me! :D

:giggle: I know what you mean, trying to paint this in a realistic-perfect-details way would of course be impossible. But it's the carving of shapes with light that makes me think of a painting (I think it was Delatour who did that ?). And also the feel ; kind of reminds me of this [link]

Yes, I agree! :) I could definitely see it that way as well but think Caravaggio [link] because of his dark dark backgrounds and dramatic lights!

I wish to do these kind of shots as well. Mastering light is something I still want to learn. And ofcourse, finding a model with such nice curves would be nice as well ;)

Ah but there are fabulous light shots in your gallery, fire, fireworks... I was lucky with this one, most of my backlit shots turn out awful, and I'm lucky to have such a model ;) !

Well.. working with light outside is different then working with light inside as you know.

Light outside I can't control. But I can adapt myself to it.

Light inside, I will have to control it myself. But I don't even have normal spotlights which I can adjust ;) (need to buy later... very late later... :D)

Yup, I don't have any spolights either... When I shoot inside portraits, I take every single lamp from my appartment and put them all in one room :D This picture I found by chance, I hadn't thought of it before taking it :)

The best photo's are just like that. You do have a rough idea of how you want it to be... but when post processing it you always will find something which was unattended, but turned out very well :D
